The Biggest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we start to significantly doubt ourselves, our whole world begins to fall apart. That's a pretty powerful statement, but if we dive into the after effects of what takes place when doubt crawls into our lives, it truly does occur. We can even take it a stage further in regard to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it actually does ruin everything or seems to put a total stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your full attention, working ethos, passion, integrity, and eagerness to sacrifice a great deal to achieve them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you're actually doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you come across someone talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to really happen notwithstanding great amounts of uncertainty surrounding the whole thing. There's an innate sense of belief that roots itself so extremely in that person that they can't even imagine to be defeated. That's true and real faith.

But when you overhear someone who is talking about their passions, and you get the way that they are slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they'll never achieve what they set out to do. It's not that you are rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in the slightest. So pour yourself into what you love and let doubt flee from your mind. Others may say it's not practical but the inconceivable has been achieved many many times all through history.

Give it a shot. Anything could happen.
