The Cost Of Big Dreams

By Evan Sanders

Dreams are free. Hustle however, is sold separately. Boy is it pricey.

When on the trail to doing your most creative work, life somehow seems to get reasonably simple. You work stupidly hard, go to sleep, and awaken to work hard all over again. Monday through Friday are the staple for many, except for entrepreneurs and people who are trying to create something. For the case of those people, Saturday's and Sunday's exist as another 2 days of opportunity to get ahead.

This is the grind.

It's going to take everything you've got. Your vision is going to demand that you put forward your best effort, work yourself past where you thought your limits were, and to dream as big as you possibly can. There's nothing like chasing a dream and riding the roller coaster of exhaustion and pure excitement. But this is how it's meant to be. It's what comes along with doing what you love.

You also truly have to be content to really listen the whispers deep within yourself and tune out the negative attitude that folks bring to the table. Of course, spend a little time to hear those that are trying to give you valuable counsel on your trail, but at the end of the day, you should make your own decisions and go on confidently and with tenacity. Because without those characteristics, you may burn out and struggle to face the inevitable fact of failure. Failure is a component of the game and it's there to teach you methods not to do what you have set out to do. Failure serves as a very valuable course adjuster when you are going in the wrong direction.

So embrace the hustle, embrace the grind, and embrace failure. These are all parts of success. Have faith that if you keep going towards what you are passionate about with zeal, you may ultimately arrive right where you need to be.

Invest in the hustle, it will certainly never fail you.
