Reasons To Go To First Baptist Church Coward

By Sandra Cooper

The place people go to have a way of affecting them either positively or negatively. That is why people are encouraged to mind the places they visit to avoid bringing trouble upon themselves. Baptist Church Coward is one place you are sure to go to and be happy for the rest of your life. Apart from the spiritual benefits which include getting to know the Lord better and being more ready for Heaven, there are other health and social importance attached to the practice.

When you are in the church, you flee from the temptation of going to the wrong place. Several youths have ended up in jail simply because they were lured by friends to be at the wrong place. The best way to avoid temptation from friends you don't trust is by being somewhere you know they won't penetrate. Instead of figuring out how to say no to their demands, find yourself in God's house and the temptation to do evil will pass you by.

It also gives long life. The church is a place where people get miracles for their health. There have been stories of people who would have died as a result of poor health conditions if not for the intervention of God's people. In the same vein, the Holy Communion served as the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ has also been said to be a source of miracles to many who have partaken in it.

You can also get encouragement in the church. You can be encouraged either by reading the scriptures or by meeting people who were once in your shoes. You will be surprised at how much strength you will suddenly get to overcome all your challenges.

If you want to get edification, go to the house of God. There, you will hear songs that will lift your spirit as never before. Those songs may not even be new but because they are sung in a place of worship, you may get another rhema of it. It often feels better to sing a worship song in a congregation than in one's private time especially for a new convert. Songs learned in the church are usually used in personal quiet times.

Being a member of the Baptist church is an opportunity to please God by doing His work. Although God prefers obedience to sacrifice, he still values sacrifice and blesses every bit of it. Members who have sacrificed one thing or the other to other members who were in genuine need of something can attest to this fact.

Apart from giving to the poor, members serve God by serving others in the church. Some serve as choristers, some as ushers, and some as stewards. Some are given Bible passages to read, understand and share their benefits to other members of the congregation. So it is actually a place to be blessed and to bless others.

Some parents are yet to understand that the best way to train up a child that is a Christian is by allowing him to go to church. Those who even understand are the ones that enroll their children into the Sunday school and plead with their teachers to always ensure that the children come often by asking of their whereabouts. The children are left with mothers and fathers whose personal stories make the children understand the purpose of life.
